New Original T-Shirt Designs: Vote For 2
So I finished a series of designs, specifically so I can turn them into shirts for friends and family. I know for sure there are some I like more than others, but like the t-shirts designs I have done in the past I know that if I am going to spend $ on resources for a screen, emulsion, shirts, ink etc. I would like to get feedback from others on what shirt designs they like more. I don’t sell or distribute my shirts at all…. just a hobby. I also wrote a How to Silk Screen T-shirts Tutorial post for anyone interesting in getting into the hobby- some of the basic processes I’ve used.
I really didn’t have much skills with trying to get my idea’s implemented over the last year or so that I’ve been doing this. Photoshop’s been pretty much a ‘learn as I go on my own’ process with these designs, and my last one was a good learning process, and I found more of a logo/niche’ to go along with most of my designs which is a picture I took of my younger brother and…. changed a bit as seen below.
To properly view the second image of the two above, you are going to need a modern browser that is not bound by only being able to display basic image types, or turns sites into a Picasso piece. Get Firefox 2. Duh.
So here they are: the most recent t-shirt designs I’ve finished. I’d like to actually produce 2, so for those few voting, choose your t-shirt design numbers and leave them in a comment. For those of your who know Tor, no tricks or robot-voting. Please remember, each image produced on a shirt will be appx 8 inches wide, and/or 10 inches high.
You may or may not recognize design 2 as based off the pattern as seen on my Fabric Panel Patterns.
Oh, and one more thing: Let’s not forget that the designs don’t reflect only black and white shirts. Anything that is black on the design- can be any color, on any color of shirt. I have another 5 or 6 on the way so we’ll do another round of voting for designs in a month or two.

I vote for #3 of course. #2 is a fairly close second chose.
I’m going to say #1 (but lose the nars, once that style starts showing up in Wal*Mart shirts, it’s time to move on!). For a second choice I’d say #4. It hurts my eyes, but it hurts ‘em good … real good.
I’m going to have to say 3 then 4… I’d probably wear 4 before 3, but I like 3 a lot.
OMG OMG OMG!!!! #3 is the raddest shirt i’ve ever seen. NO EXAGGERATION!! And #2 rocks too! Make #3 and I’ll buy it tomorrow!!!

Well bub…I would have to say numbers 1 and 5 are super sweet. I was also wanting to let you know that I represent some of the finest sweat shops in the country that could be ready for your line’s production. Ask me for my card next time you see me.
#1 for sure - not sure what message #3 is sending. I like the idea of printing Chewey on a shirt (him and the landscape image at the beginning). I know that involves more colors for the screen.

3 stands out the most to me as origional, but if you make one female style, you could sell just as many in a male form I would imagine.
4 looks like a vidio game image and would be good to confus people you don’t like. You could be talking to them and be tired of it and say “look at this shirt and find waldo!”

How long will it take to create the screen?
Jon, I like #3 and #4 the best. I found #3 the most provactive, due to the juxtaposition of sexual and violent imagery. #4 I found the most intriguing. It looks like a puzzle that screams to be solved. Right off the bat I saw a version of the Jewish star of David, a basketball backboard and hoop, and a man and woman kissing.
My vote’s for #2 and #3. All are cool, but any variation on the bathroom sign is gonna be a fave.

I’m gonna go with 3 and 4 as well. #3 stings a bit in a “that hits too close to home” sort of way for many women I’d imagine..
I’m definitely going with numero uno, as far as my second vote I was split between 2 and 5, but my second vote goes with number 2.
