The Jolly Roger

This Jolly Roger Design is one I made last year on a scribbled piece of paper with a few others. My buddy Dave mentioned he liked it but that it was too “cartoony” so I cut down a little of the cartoon styling with out eliminating the the feel of still being an original Jolly Roger Design. I live in a house with a Pirate Flag out front and really just have it everywhere I turn in some way or another at our hours. So to make the Jolly Roger Design a little more original and have some “Jon Sandy” feel to it, I decided on the one below.

Original Art. Jolly Roger Design by Jon Sanderson

My Version of a Jolly Roger

This one is what I felt was the perfect design for my Pirate T-shirt’s that I am making (and selling.)

Usually most Jolly Roger designs are based on a skull and cross-bones. On that style, I found many of them basic and all very similar. This is why my pirate flag Jolly Roger Design was going to incorporate something different, such as a square head or disproportioned eyes.

I don’t konw a thing about CSS, but I have some t-shirt ideas I could pass along if you’re interested. For a while, I thought about making them, but had no clue as to the method I would use to go about accomplishing my goal. Let me know if you’re interested.

Hey, thanks for the props on the halo! Sometimes I don’t know if I should feel good about it or feel like a geek with no life. I’ll have to think about that.

As far as the CSS goes it’s pretty straight forward, but if you need help you can email me some questions. I’m always up to a challenge, and I enjoy working on web pages anyway. Also do a search for a premade template for WordPress, and then make it your own. Good luck.

[…] We are officially back from our trip to San Francisco. The Maker Faire was awesome, and I am seriously considering going every year that I am able to. The two days this event was open, I regret a little not spending more time going around to the different booths and seeing what Makers had brought to show off. I was able to stop by a few particular booths that I really enjoyed. One was the Epilog Laser booth in the Tech Shop area. These laser cutters were amazing by themselves. Craig was one of the rep’s from the manufacturer who really took the time to teach Sam and I the process of how they work and what they can do. We were really intrigued by it all, and Craig even spent the time to engrave our laptops which we had brought. I had him put on the Jolly Roger I designed last year. If I could afford it, I would definitely invest in one of these machines. Sam did one and it turned out really good. […]
